The iMicro seminar series is held on Tuesday mornings at 10-11 am throughout the academic year. The series includes seminars given by invited renowned scientists from all over the world and will be held virtually for the 2020-2021 academic year. Invited faculty are given the option to eat lunch virtually with trainees and to meet with faculty virtually. In addition, trainees supported by the iMicro training grant have the opportunity to present a research-in-progress talk once a year in this seminar series. Additional trainees are encouraged to present if there are open slots. These in-progress talks allow the iMicro community to hear about the great research being performed by our trainees and also provides an opportunity for the presenter to get constructive feedback in a setting that is larger than a lab meeting but still relatively informal.
